How do I keep the metal with a screw cap of oxidation?
So I bought a glass bottle vintage (originally used for maple syrup!) and was thinking of using it for a clean water bottle. However, the screw cap is metal! Although there is no rust on it right now, I worry that using it daily with water will start to rust … Any suggestions on how to prevent this?
Over time, the steel oxidises … best you can do is keep the lid dry when not in use and put a good coat of paint in contact with food on the top.
