Why was there a need to build the railroad intercolonial between the colonies of Canada?

Specificallly: – Why troops Western Canadian military needs the rail for the transport – What fur trade have to do with the appreciation train helpp!

The railroad was required to move troops quickly, because in the 1860s, America was beginning to talk about invading Canada again, and because The Fenians (Irish American with a grudge against Britain) attacked regularly. The colonial governments wanted to reach trouble spots quickly. trade in general (not just skin) was very connected with the railroad, because the railways were costs getting cheaper, so it was cheaper to move rail freight, the railways were also more flexible – that could be used in more places and in more than boat stations could be used.
