Medal Croix

Obituary of a writer (in 1972) stated that she won the medal, but in a memoir (1942), his son wrote that she stayed in the U.S. during the war. He liked making up stories about herself – but should have been his son, who provided the information. for the obituary.

He made me believe Dr. Pepper soft drink prune juice was until I was in my 20's. You can try using Google and then further reduce their criteria search.
