I have a lot of problems with the commas, I never know when to use them. Any help?

For example, what happens with the use of a comma in this sentence: "Around this time the music of the polka and button accordion played by German rail workers immigrants left Waila their mark. "Apparently, I'm not supposed to use a comma after" workers. "Why not? And what about this sentence," The practice of a person's age, it seems to reflect the value that society places on the experience of life and longevity. "What is wrong with the comma after "Age"? No need to separate the complete songs of predicates with a comma, you have done in both sentences.
